At the Y, we host several family-friendly events throughout the year. On this page you’ll find details about each event, gathering, and collaboration we have happening so you can add them to your family calendar.

Events & Happenings
Flick & Float: Migration
- Friday, April 26th
- 6:00 pm
- Family Members $10 | Member $15 | Guest $25
Grab your swimsuit and watch your favorite film while floating in the pool! Popcorn will be served. April’s feature film is Migration. Prices listed are for a Family Pass (2 adults + 2 children) Individual tickets are also available.
Healthy Kids Day

Healthy Kids Day is a free annual event featuring a variety of family-friendly activities to encourage healthy kids, healthy families, and a healthy start to the summer season.
Weightlifting Meet
- Saturday, May 4th
- 9:00 am-1:00 pm
- Members $60 | Guests $85
Overseen by Olympic Certified Judge, Jeff Brum this meet will feature the squat, bench press, and deadlift. Ages 13+.
May the 4th Family Dance Party
- Saturday, May 4th
- 3:00-5:00 pm
- Family Pass (2 Adults + 2 Children): Family Members $20 | Members $40 | Guests $50
Come dressed as your favorite princess, villain, hero, or character. Light refreshments will be served. Individual passes are also available for purchase.
Summer Camp Hiring Event

Are you looking for a great summer job? The Keene Family YMCA is hiring counselors, lifeguards, and swim instructors for their popular summer camp programs! We’re looking for energetic, fun-loving people who would like to spend their summer working outdoors, playing camp games, and providing positive experiences for our campers. These are seasonal positions, with full-time hours from June 17-August 23. Get hired ON THE SPOT during our summer hiring event! PLUS if you interview with us during the event you’ll get a FREE one-week guest pass to the Keene Family YMCA, whether you get hired or not.

Adult Arts Pop-Up: Vision Boards
- Tuesday, May 7th
- 6:00-6:45 pm
- Family Member $12 | Member $18 | Guest $25
Bring a friend and come create your vision board! Vision boards are collages that can include photographs, quotations, pictures from magazines, or other visuals that help convey your dreams and goals. Participants are welcome to bring pictures to use on their boards. Come use our many materials to manifest your vision of 2024!
Annual Events
There are a handful of events we host at the Y every year.
These include our annual fundraising gala, the Sneaker Ball in April, the Otter Romp Youth Triathlon in June, and our Fall Foliage Trail Races in October. These events are an important part of our fundraising efforts, helping to fund our Membership for All program which provides financial assistance to those who need it for YMCA membership, program participation, and critical services like childcare.
Sneaker Ball
April
Sneaker Ball is the Keene Family YMCA’s signature fundraiser, taking place in April each year. Funds raised support the Y’s Membership for All fund, providing financial assistance to those who need it for membership or program participation, and helping us ensure that everyone has access to YMCA programs and services.
The Otter Romp
June
The Otter Romp is the only youth triathlon in the Monadnock Region, offering kids ages 5-12 a safe and positive introduction to the sport through a collaboration between Keene Family YMCA and Sonic Endurance.
Fall Foliage Trail Race
October
The Keene Family YMCA’s Fall Foliage Trail Races offer runners an excellent opportunity to explore some of Keene’s best trails, while supporting the charitable work of the Y.
