Fall Foliage Trail Races
Held annually at the peak of the fall foliage season, the Keene Family YMCA’s annual fall foliage Trail Races offer runners a great opportunity to explore some of Keene’s best trails while supporting the charitable work of the Y. The 2024 race will take place on Sunday, October 6. Registration is now open!
About the Races
This scenic race starts and ends at the Keene Family YMCA on Summit Road in Keene, NH.
Runners can compete in either the 5k or the 10k race, and both courses offer a nice mix of wide crushed gravel trails and flowing singletrack.
The 5k race
The 5k is a great introduction to trail running, with a good mix of terrain that will give you a taste of what it’s like to run trails. This is a fast course, offering a great experience for beginners and a potential PR opportunity for seasoned trail runners.
The 10k race
The 10k is a bit more challenging, though still very runnable with lots of smooth singletracks and plenty of elevation gain to get your heart pumping.
Funds raised from the race help keep YMCA programs and services accessible to everyone in our community.
Volunteer at fftr
We need course marshals for the race to help keep our runners safe and on course! Course marshals must be able to walk up to three miles as they will need to walk to their stations.
