Lifeguards – Part-time positions

Responsible for ensuring the safety of all participants in our Aquatics Center, upholding the Y and state of NH regulations and guidelines. Flexible hours, current American Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard certifications along with First Aid, CPR and AED certifications required. 

Head Lifeguard – Part-time position

The Head Lifeguard maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas when lifeguarding, instructing swim lessons and during pool maintenance checks. They act as a shift supervisor in the absence of the Aquatic Director. Flexible hours, current American Red Cross of YMCA Lifeguard certifications along with First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications required.

Associate Teacher: Full-time positions
One year of experience teaching preschool aged children and a minimum of 9 ECE credits required. 

Bus Driver – Part-time
Must have CDL with Passenger endorsement and clean driving record. Responsible for providing safe and timely transportation of children from local elementary schools to the YMCA for after school programming. 

Child Care Teacher’s Assistant and Subs: Full and Part-time positions
Must have prior experience working with children from infant to preschool ages. 

Housekeeping – Full-time position
Seeking Housekeeping Coordinator responsible for the coordination and oversight of all housekeeping staff including scheduling shifts, ordering cleaning supplies, and ensuring a clean and organized facility. 

Housekeeping – Part-time position 
Responsible for the cleanliness, physical appearance, and appeal of the YMCA facility. Keeps building in clean and orderly condition. Performs cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing trash along with other Housekeeping duties as assigned.


Welcome Center Representatives – Part-time positions, multiple shifts available (days, nights, weekends)

Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Knowledge of multi-line switch boards, computers, and the ability to multi-task a must. Responsibilities include welcoming the community into the facility, processing memberships and program registrations, assisting program directors in enforcing policy and procedures, especially those created around COVID-19 safety.


Summer Camp Counselor

The Y is seeking qualified Group Leaders and Assistant Group Leaders for their summer day camp, Camp Wakonda.

Group Leaders will provide direct supervision and positive engagement of a group of preschool and school-age children in an outdoor day-camp setting. 


  • High School Diploma or equivalent, one year of college preferred, with a minimum of 3 credits in education, human growth/development, coaching certification, or documented 600 hours of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in outdoor recreation, nature-based education, songs/music, sports/recreational games, arts/crafts, aquatics, and/or team building a plus.
  • Effective communication and behavior management skills

Assistant Group Leaders will provide direct supervision and positive engagement of a group of school-age children under the direct supervision of the Group Leader.


  • Previous experience working with school-age children, preferably in a day-camp setting.
  • Experience in outdoor recreation, nature-based education, songs/music, sports/recreational games, arts/crafts, aquatics, and/or team building a plus.

All Summer Camp Counselors will be required to obtain their First Aid/CPR/AED certifications, and to complete the Y’s Child Abuse Prevention Training prior to camp start date. Must be available for training beginning the first week of June, and be able to commit to the full 8 weeks of Camp Wakoknda – June 28-August 20, 2021.
