What we Stand For

The Y is a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community by connecting all people to their potential, purpose, and each other.

Working locally, we focus on empowering young people, improving health and well-being, and inspiring action in and across communities. By bringing together people from different backgrounds, perspectives and generations, we ensure that we all have access to the opportunities, relationships, and resources necessary to learn, grow and thrive.

Our Staff & Culture

We strive to live our cause with purpose every day. No matter who you are or where you’re from, we believe that we’re stronger when we come together.

We’re open to all and create spaces where you can be, belong, and become.

We value who you are and encourage you to be true to yourself and others.

We’re with you on your path to reach your full potential.

We believe in your ability to inspire a brighter tomorrow.

We work relentlessly to strengthen communities, starting with YOU.

The Y is made up of people of all ages and from every walk of life working side by side to strengthen communities.

Together we work to ensure that everyone, regardless of ability, age, cultural background, ethnicity, faith, gender, gender identity, ideology, income, national origin, race or sexual orientation has the opportunity to reach their full potential with dignity.

A Recovery Friendly Workplace

The Keene Family YMCA is committed to creating a healthy, safe, and stigma-free work environment for our employees through our participation in the New Hampshire Recovery Friendly Workplace (RFW) Initiative. The goal of this initiative is to encourage a safe environment where employers, employees, and community members can lean on one another, encourage, and create positive change for those impacted by addiction.

We fully support and look forward to collaborating with RFW and eliminating barriers and reducing stigma for those impacted by addiction. We invite and encourage all employees to contact our human resource team members for help and support. We also encourage all employees to utilize state resources such as 988 a suicide and crisis lifeline and 211 The Doorway to receive support and services in their recovery journey.

We are dedicated to providing training opportunities and resources on supporting healthy lifestyle choices to employees or their loved ones in, or seeking, recovery.
