The Chill Snowboard Program Returns to the Y

The Keene Family YMCA is excited to bring you this FREE Positive Youth Development program by the Chill Foundation. Chill inspires youth to overcome challenges through boardsports – building resiliency through targeted lessons and challenging physical activities. All gear and services necessary to participate are provided free of charge.

Funding for this program is made possible in part by the NH Empower Youth Program Grant.

The 2023 Chill Snowboard Program will run on Mondays from January 9-February 27, 2023.*

The program will run at McIntyre Mountain in Manchester, NH each day from 5-8pm. The YMCA is able to provide bus transportation for up to 11 participants for the small fee of $10 per person.

For those who will be transported to the mountain via the YMCA bus:

  • 3:30pm – Bus leaves Keene Family YMCA
  • 3:30-5pm – Driving to the mountain
  • 5-8pm – Chill Snowboard Program activities
  • 8-9/9:30 – Driving back to the Y
  • 9/9:30pm – Participant pick up at the Y

For those who will be providing their own transportation, please arrive at McIntyre Mountain no later than 4:45pm so we can begin promptly at 5pm.

*The program will not run on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 16th, nor on President’s Day, Monday, January 20th.

The Chill Snowboard program is open to anyone between the ages of 11-19. There is no cost to participate, but space is extremely limited. Registration is available through lottery only.

Lottery entries will be accepted from October 26-November 2, 2022.

Selected entrants will be notified between November 3-8, 2022.
