Liquid Gym Classes
When it comes to working out, high-intensity doesn’t have to mean high-risk. The Liquid Gym will get your heart rate up and keep it there, without the risk of injury that can come from high-impact exercise. After just one class you’ll understand why the Liquid Gym is quickly becoming one of our most popular fitness programs.
High Intensity, low risk
In 2021 the Keene Family YMCA received a legacy gift from Mr. George Scott who passed away on March 27th. In 2022, the funds received through his generous gift were used to purchase the equipment and training needed to launch the Liquid Gym, helping to make the many benefits of aquatic fitness more accessible.
The Liquid Gym offers high-intensity workouts without fear of injury. Using the resistance of the water and specialized equipment, you’ll get a great full-body workout. Classes take place several times throughout the week, and are offered for free, exclusively to current YMCA members as part of the Y’s group exercise program.

Aqua Board Flow
Aqua Board Flow is a balance and strength-based water fitness class that uses inflatable Aqua Boards in the lap pool. It is a total body workout that is appropriate for all fitness levels, and is designed to improve balance and focus while increasing strength, endurance and flexibility.
Aqua Cycle
Aqua Cycle is an underwater spin class, offering participants a challenging low-impact cardio workout. In addition to strengthening your cardiovascular endurance, this class will help you build lower body and core strength. Aqua shoes are highly recommended for this class.
Aqua Combat
Aqua Combat is an underwater cardio-kickboxing class using resistance gloves for a full-body workout that will leave you feeling exhilarated. Throwing punches and kicks underwater adds a whole new level of difficulty to this fun and challenging class.
