Come and experience the Y's new Arts Programs

The Y’s arts and humanities program provides a convenient, low-cost way for families to experience the arts. All of our arts and humanities programs run as 4-week experiences. Program dates and times vary. Please see our program brochure for details and registration information.

Family Arts Exploration

Ages: 2-5 years

In this art class for preschoolers we’ll explore all of the unique ways to use our senses and engage our minds and bodies through art and science. Each month we’ll explore a new theme. Some themes we’ve explored include Messy Arts, Mad Science, and Holiday Arts. All materials will be provided. Caregiver participation is required.

Homeschool Art & Science

Ages: 6-12 years

Art & science for homeschoolers! All materials are included. Each month we’ll explore a new theme. Examples of themes we might explore are Messy Arts, Mad Science, and Holiday Arts.

Afterschool Craft Club

Ages: 6-12 years

Time to get crafty! We’ll work on a new project each week together and explore several different artistic mediums. Each month we will follow a theme to help guide our creativity! Examples of themes we might explore include Art Exploration, Fall Pumpkin Crafts, Jewelry Making, and Holiday Crafts.

Ballroom Dancing

For all ages!

Join in the fun of social dance with instructor Sandi Finley. Each session we offer a beginner and an intermediate class, each focusing on different dances. Partners are not required. But comfortable dress and appropriate shoes are! Rubber-soled or open-back shoes are not permitted. Participants in the intermediate class must have taken the beginner class prior, or they can combine and take them both in the same session. Examples of dances taught may include the Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Swing, Cha-Cha and Foxtrot. Ballroom dancing is a wonderful activity that is fun, social, and energizing. It’ll give you a great workout too!

Beginner Ballet

Ages: 18+

Learn the foundational movements and positions of ballet. This class will work your lower body, core and upper body simultaneously for a full body workout.
