Giving Tuesday

Find joy in giving.

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. In New Hampshire, there are hundreds of amazing, hard-working, and impactful nonprofit organizations doing incredible work.

The Keene Family YMCA is one of those mission-focused nonprofits.

Our partnerships run deep.

When you support the Y, you’re supporting your community. It’s how we roll here. As one.

The Y serves thousands of individuals and families with core programs, including affordable childcare and after-school care. It does so with deep resolve and care, and an unwavering commitment to offer this critical service and all its programs, regardless of race, gender, religion, or ability to pay.

Financial assistance that supports many of our programs and essential-care services like childcare are funded through philanthropy. Our victories will continue to be driven by all of those who step up and give to make a difference.

More broadly, a donation today helps the Y continue to successfully fulfill its mission to build strong children, strong families and strong communities, something it has been doing for more than 130 years.

Double your impact this Giving Tuesday.

This Giving Tuesday every dollar given, up until the first $2,000, will be matched by our good friends at Savings Bank of Walpole, a company that shares our values and works to strengthen our community by supporting local nonprofits like the Keene Family YMCA.

If you are thinking of giving, or giving again as so many do, do not miss this opportunity to boost your gift with this match and to help us reach our annual goal.

We are better together.

We use the phrase better together often at the Y. We do so because our wonderful, tight-knit region is the sum of so many meaningful parts: the nonprofits working tirelessly to help others, the volunteers who quietly drive change behind the scenes, the generous donors who give dollars to champion so many causes, the frontline workers who are real-life “heroes.”

Inspiration is all around us.

People are happier and more productive when they can feel a part of their community, when they can feel like they belong, when the worry in their life is eased, when they are confident and respected.

At the Y, you’ll find all of the above.

Because of you, the Y is a part of the heart of this community. Help us to keep it that way by joining the Giving Tuesday movement. By doing so, you’re proving that in times of uncertainty, generosity can bring the whole world together.

Where there’s a need, there’s a Y.

Financial assistance and scholarship opportunities at the Y are determined by individual applicant needs. These days, more than ever, there is no shortage of needs, no drop-off in the number of applications from those experiencing hardship and seeking a helping hand.

With your help, we can educate more people, move more people, care for more people, and give more when and where it counts most.

With you, we can be transformative. With you, we can be inclusive.

As JoAnn Fenton said when she was helping to lead the capital campaign to build the new facility that houses the Y today: “The Y is about everyone and it’s for everyone.”

Here is how you can be a part of the Y’s Giving Tuesday:

  1. Make a donation.
  2. Money isn’t the only way to give. You can also support our organization by giving your time and expertise. Click here to learn more about volunteer opportunities at the Y.
  3. Start your own fundraiser. Create a Facebook fundraiser with the Keene Family YMCAas the beneficiary.
  4. Spread the word.Encourage your friends and family to join you in creating real impact on November 29 by sharing what our mission means to you and why you support our organization. Make sure to use hashtag #GivingTuesday and tag @KeeneFamilyYMCA so we can share!

Forever grateful.

This, of course, is a time of year to be thankful. Our team is thankful beyond measure to have the privilege to carry out the vision and mission of the Y so that it can continue to be a strong, positive force in others’ lives. More than that, we are thankful for you, without whom our efforts are not possible.

Thank you for all the support you’ve provided this year. Whether you’ve donated, volunteered your time, or simply brightened our day by visiting the Y, we are grateful.
