The Y is your partner in health and wellness. We are not just here to provide you with a place to come and workout. We are here to help you succeed in meeting your goals. It starts with your member orientation, but it doesn’t stop there. We want to follow the success of our members, share in your milestones, and celebrate with you when you achieve a goal. These are things that set us apart and make the Y a special place on your wellness journey.

Every new member receives an orientation to the Y. We try to schedule these at a time when you would typically come to the Y so you can see the activity level, and meet some other members who are here at that time. The orientation includes a tour, a chance to talk about what is important to you and why you joined the Y, and to welcome you to the Y family.

It’s all about you, your family, and your Y membership. Please call or visit the Welcome Center to make an appointment. 603.352.6002

We are so glad you’ve decided to join our healthy community and we want to make sure that you get the most out of your membership. We offer Member Wellness Orientations for both New and Current Members to help get started on the journey to a healthier you.

Our goal at the Keene Family YMCA is to offer a safe and welcoming environment for your family to engage in healthy living activities. Per Y policy, youth under age 11 must be in a program or with an adult at all times while in the facility. That’s why we offer ChildWatch and Primetime services. These programs offer supervised babysitting while you are in the facility. Both are free for Keene Y members.

Current ChildWatch policies as of March 1,  2021:

ChildWatch services will be by reservation only through MotionVibe at and limited to 8 children, ages 4 months to 10 years, per 1.5-hour time slot. Members can register for ChildWatch services up to 24 hours in advance through MotionVibe.

Children will be required to wash their hands upon arrival to the program and any time they touch their face. Children will wash hands prior to and after snack time. PLEASE NOTE: Masks are now required for all children ages 2 and over and anyone who is not fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.

ChildWatch staff will clean toys and all surfaces after each group leaves the area. Soft toys will be laundered after every shift. Bathrooms will be cleaned after each usage. ChildWatch hours will be Monday to Friday, 8:45 am to 1:45 pm and 3:45 to 7 pm. For information, call the Welcome Desk at 352-6002.

ChildWatch is for children ages 4 months through 10 years, held in the ChildWatch room adjacent to the main lobby. The ChildWatch service allows your child(ren) the opportunity to enjoy age-appropriate play and learning, and to engage with other kids in a safe and enriching environment.

Due to COVID-19-related guidelines and restrictions, PrimeTime is not being offered at this time.

PrimeTime is available for children age 6 years to 10 years. This service allows older kids to engage in age appropriate physical activities in the basketball gym. In order to offer the best service to all children we are requesting you sign-up for PrimeTime services by reserving online, or by calling the front desk.

Having a roster prior to our Primetime service will allow our staff to provide the most appropriate and inclusive activities for your child(ren) during their time with us. Our sessions will be scheduled as follows:

  • Welcome and Warm-up: 15 min
  • Structured Physical Activities: 45min
  • Cool Down/Relaxation: 10 min

Coming to the Y should be a healthy & fun experience for everyone in the family! PrimeTime activities are active, and include games and recreational gym sports. Our goal in PrimeTime is to encourage physical activity.
