The holiday season is a time for community, kindness, and connection — and the Keene Family YMCA’s Giving Tree is one of the ways we come together to support one another.
What is the Giving Tree?
The Giving Tree is our way of helping to make the holidays a little brighter for local families. Each year, this initiative helps families by sharing holiday gifts and essentials, donated by caring community members. Last year, the Keene Family YMCA received requests for help from more than 100 families, and we’re anticipating an even greater need this year.
Need a little extra support this year?
If you’re struggling to make ends meet and need a little help with the holidays this year, we’re here for you. Simply stop by our Welcome Center to pick up an application or click here to download. Completed applications can be dropped off at the Welcome Center or emailed to kgregory@keene-ymca.org. All applications must be received by or before October 23, 2026. Gifts will be distributed by December 18th.
Grab a tag, grant a wish.
The Giving Tree will be set up in the YMCA lobby on November 2nd, adorned with tags representing the wishes of families from our community. Each tag shares a simple wish — a chance to make the season brighter for a neighbor.
Community members are invited to choose a tag, purchase the gift, and return it unwrapped (with the tag attached) by December 4th.
By taking part, you’ll bring joy to a local family and help keep the spirit of giving alive in our community.
