Program Policies

The following policies apply to session programs and do not apply to child care or summer camp.

REGISTRATION

Program registration is on a first-come first-served basis. Members generally are given priority registration in most sessions. See registration dates for the priority registration period.  Members are not guaranteed program spots and are encouraged to utilize their priority registration.

Participants may register by phone or online with a credit card or in person at the YMCA Welcome Center. Payment is required at the time of registration. No exceptions. Spots will not be held without payment.

Registration will have a closing date after which participants will no longer be able to register. This will generally be approximately 4 days prior to the opening of the session (not the beginning of the class) to ensure that instructors have adequate time to prepare. After the registration closure date all program registration will require director approval. Please be advised that this process will take additional time and you will not receive immediate confirmation of your request. Requests are processed in a timely manner and you will be notified prior to the beginning of any class.

Refunds, Credits & Transfers

We hope that all our participants enjoy our programs, but if for any reason you are not 100% satisfied please see a Program Director or speak with a Welcome Center Representative right away.

Sick Policy: If you are unable to attend a class due to illness a request can be made to the program director for a make-up. Make-ups are not guaranteed and are based on space availability in equivalent classes. Refunds and credits will not be given for missed classes.

Transfers: Often we have the flexibility to transfer participants from one program to another. Those wishing to switch classes/programs prior to the registration closure date may do so at the Y Welcome Center. After a session has begun only directors may process class moves. If for any reason a program is not suitable please see your instructor or program director. The participant is responsible for any fee difference between programs and this must be paid at the time of the transfer.

Refunds: No refunds will be issued after the first day of class. Refund requests must be made through the programs director. If the Y cancels a program you will be given the choice of a refund or credit equal to the amount of classes remaining in the session. Instructors and Welcome Center staff are not authorized to issue refunds. Refunds will generally take 5 to 10 business days.

Credit: Refunds my be taken in the form of credit to be used immediately or for future program registration.
