PARTNERSHIP

Since 2011, the KSC Chamber Singers have partnered with one local organization per semester to learn about their missions, promote awareness, provide outreach performances, volunteer, and donate twenty percent of concert proceeds to the partner organization. Past non-profit partner organizations include Hundred Nights Shelter, Stonewall Farm, Monadnock Conservancy, Phoenix House, Keene Community Kitchen, Monadnock Family Services, Monadnock Humane Society, RISE for baby and family, and Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music.

This semester marks the collaboration between the Chamber Singers and the Keene Family YMCA. The singers volunteered in February to clean and paint the exercise studios, track and gymnasium. In March, the performed as part of the annual Sneaker Ball, a main fundraising event for the Keene Family YMCA. In April, the singers presented a music session to the Y’s preschool students and from the upcoming performance will donate a 20% portion of the ticket proceeds directly to the Keene Family YMCA. Keene Family YMCA embodies three basis focus areas for their mission including youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Please join the Chamber Singers in celebrating the positive contributions that the Keene Family YMCA makes in the Monadnock region and consider donating or becoming a member!
